Screenplays Expanded into Published Novels & Audiobooks

Longtime Scriptwriters Network member Anthony “Tony” McBride has transformed his passion for storytelling into a growing body of published work across multiple formats. Since joining Scriptwriters Network in 2015, Tony has participated in educational programs, classes, and events that have helped strengthen his screenwriting craft and creative development. Building upon his original screenplays, Tony expanded his stories into published novels and audiobooks, allowing his work to reach audiences in new ways. His journey demonstrates how writers can continue developing their skills, adapt their creative work across platforms, and discover new opportunities throughout their writing careers.

In the Shadow of the Hollywood Sign

Scriptwriters Network member Randall Caldwell expanded his storytelling journey by applying lessons learned through SWN educational programs and networking opportunities. After attending the seminar “Adapting Your Film to a Book and Self-Publishing Plus Landing a Book Deal,” Randall gained insight into the publishing process and discovered new possibilities for his work. Through continued development and professional connections, he successfully published his novel In the Shadow of the Hollywood Sign, expanding his creative career beyond screenwriting into publishing. Randall's journey demonstrates how writers can build upon their stories, explore multiple formats, and create new opportunities through education and community.

The Third Bomb

Phil Parker's screenplay The Third Bomb earned Third Place in Scriptwriters Network's 2014 High Concept Screenplay Program (HCSP). The screenplay's compelling premise, strong storytelling, and memorable characters helped it stand out in the competition. Following its recognition through Scriptwriters Network, The Third Bomb was optioned by a BAFTA-winning producer. Phil's journey highlights how dedication to craft, professional feedback, and industry recognition can help writers advance their creative careers.
